Teresita Ramirez is the founder of The Ramirez Family Child Care. On August 1st, 2000, she opened her doors to our community and to this day her business continues to thrive. Her passion and authenticity are key attributes that allowed her to foster life-long connections with almost 100 children who have spent their precious childhood years at The Ramirez Family Child Care. The children call her Tere; they know she will care for them and protect them while their parents are away.
Tere has dedicated her time to providing only the best for the children by constantly educating herself. She was awarded an AA in Child Development with emphasis in infant/toddler and special needs education from East Los Angeles Community College (ELAC). Due to her outstanding performance, ELAC invited her to participate in the Child Development Program as an associate professor. In addition, she has the following certifications: Child Development Site Supervisor Permit by The California Commission on Teacher Credentials, Emergency Response Training Certification (CERT) by LAFD, LEAD Poisoning Prevention Training, CPR, First Aid, and Health and Safety Certifications.
Teresita is an active member of her local church Santa Marta, where she has been a confirmation teacher for the last 4 years and enjoys serving her community and guiding the youth in their spiritual journey. While not at work or church, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family. She has two daughters who grew up at The Ramirez Family Child Care and now as young adults also contribute to her mission.

Payment Programs and agencies
We work directly and independently with Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF). However, we are also able to work with any other agency, if requested by the parents, even if they are not in our our zone. Some of these agencies include: Crystal Stairs, Options for learning, and Child Care Resource Center. Click here for additional resources.
On August 1st of 2000, we opened our doors to our community and welcomed children who are now starting their adult lives. Over the years, we have dedicated our time to evaluate children's behavior, interactions, and development. We believe that self-esteem plays a very prominent role in child development; for that reason, we focus on the direct and individual interaction with each child.
Our main tool for child development is play. We believe that children reinforce their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through play and interaction with others. We foster and encourage each child’s curiosity and creativity to make learning a fun experience.
Play helps children develop the different domains of language, mathematics, visual and performing arts, physical development, and sciences. Play also builds fine and gross motor skills, problem solving, socialization and, most importantly, positive self-esteem.
Caring for our community for over 22 years
